About Laurelton, Queens
Laurelton is a neighborhood in the southeastern part of Queens, New York City. It is located south of Rosedale, east of St. Albans, and north of Springfield Gardens. The area was developed as an upper-middle-class suburb after World War II and has remained largely unchanged since then. Despite its small size, Laurelton has a lot to offer. It is known for its sprawling tree-lined streets, cozy single-family homes, and diverse population.
Unfortunately, water damage is also an issue in Laurelton. Heavy rains can cause flooding due to water overflowing from the nearby Jamaica Bay or poor drainage systems that property owners do not properly maintain. Residents must be vigilant about water damage prevention and take steps to protect their properties from water damage, such as checking for water seepage around windows, sealing cracks in walls and foundations, and having backups of all important documents in case of flood destruction. By taking these precautions, residents can avoid water damage and continue enjoying the beauty of Laurelton for many years to come.
